Finding Our Commanding Presence

Einstein gave to us many opportunities to see a world beyond our world, sharing tidbits of wisdom and insights throughout his many years on this life. Max Planck coined a phrase, based on Einsteins teachings, giving us “the theory of relativity”. These theories brought awareness into words, blending the two worlds together, the worlds of spirit and physical.

Time and space appear to stand still, giving us a consistent foundation for living. Our mind and our spirit seek to explore the greater, longing to express our creativity. Our body seeks what it needs in this moment, and requires a firm world to stand upon.

Today I venture out, weaving together two of my worlds, the world of Hummingbird Shaman and the world of the Mayan Daily Insights. What lead me to do this crossing over between two different “voices” on this day? The post this morning for the Mayan Daily Insights focuses on the integration of our higher spirit consciousness into the physical tapestry we have woven.

The physical world moves at its own pace, and sometimes we would like it to speed up a little. We express this as boredom, curiosity, distraction, daydreaming. Sometimes we want the world to slow down, for at times we find our minds reeling and our thoughts spinning out of control. Neither of these give honor to our presence.

The thought of the theory of relativity opens the doors to a recognition of our spirit-self. Today is the day of the rabbit, Lamat in the Mayan calendar. As the rabbit dashes through the garden in a seemingly chaotic manner it still retains a strong grasp of its purpose and direction. The bat flies through the night sky, twisting and turning in patterns that make no sense to us, but are very rewarding to the bat.

The hummingbird moves with great command of its world, flashing through the sky at a speed that leaves our ‘blink of the eye’ in the dust. It’s all about frequency, and we know the hummingbirds heart beats faster than our own, its wings move at a speed we can barely comprehend. The hummingbird does not ‘think’ about its world, it lives within it, finding its own commanding presence. This is the message of Lamat, bringing together an awareness or presence in the world.

Hear the voice of the hummingbird, calling out in this video I recorded while on a walk along the creek.
